Thank you for this reminder to be authentic and dance with whatever we are feeling in the moment - because raising children is a big job! What I have been contemplating the past couple of months is how to set up our home in a way that is functional and shared by everyone. I want to create intentional spaces for my toddler to play WITHIN the structure that is already there rather than creating separate spaces just for her. For example, how can the living room be used for everyone? What does the living room space mean to her at her age and stage of discovery? It's certainly a challenge and will be an ongoing one as she grows and the family evolves. But it's fun to know that we're doing it together, within a community like this one. :)
